Speech and Language Services Team
 

The Speech and Language Services team assesses communication disorders.  Staff establishes relationships with schools and community resources and assist families in locating appropriate services in the community.  They also offer communication methods for the unintelligible or non-speaking child.  Every staff member holds a master's degree and is licensed by the state of Washington and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Each member is a recognized specialist in their areas of pediatric speech-language pathology.

We used Children’s to do an evaluation.  They were helpful for ruling out deafness.  However, they misdiagnoses our son as apraxic.  They also didn’t have a very good referral list.  I was disappointed – Children’s is supposed to be the best.
