Integration Training
Auditory Integration Training is considered an alternative,
non-pharmaceutical, non-invasive intervention designed to alleviate hearing
discomfort or hypersensitivity. It has been known to accelerate progress
with allied therapies such as speech, occupational therapy, movement and
other developmental therapies. DAN (Defeat Autism Now) Doctors advise
parents to consider AIT as one of the first interventions, to alleviate
symptoms of autism, reduce painful hearing (hyperacusis)
and improve receptive language.
