Washington State DSHS Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program

The Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program (ITEIP) coordinates the state-wide early intervention services system, including Family Resources Coordination, for eligible children from birth to age 3 and their families.

All children, birth to three, including children at risk for developmental delays, are entitled to participate in the following components with the consent of their parent(s): early identification, multidisciplinary evaluation, and determination of eligibility for early intervention services. Some early intervention services are provided through contracts with county governments.

King County (Department of Community and Human Services Developmental Disabilities Division) contracts with agencies located throughout King County to provide services. The organization called Community Health Access Program (CHAP) can refer you to agencies based on your family’s unique needs. CHAP’s Lead Family Resource Coordinator will help you get started in early intervention services based on your child’s specific needs and where you are located.

To get started call or email:
Sandy Duncan, SandyD@whf.org (Lead Family Resources Coordinator)
